Re-opening Protocol
NOTE: We will take all the necessary steps to mitigate possible harm from Covid-19 in our church; however, there is no way to fully guarantee that a person will not be exposed. The CDC and local government have offered suggestions for consideration to the extent consistent with each church’s faith and tradition.
What You Need to Know:
Prepare before you go:
- Stay home if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 (symptoms of COVID-19) , if you are waiting for COVID-19 test results, or may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
- Bring masks to help you and others stay healthy; we will also have masks available. Consider bringing an extra mask; hand sanitizer will be available with at least 60% alcohol.
Use social distancing and limit physical contact
- Maintain a distance of at least 6 feet or more from people who don’t live in your household. Be particularly mindful in areas where it may harder to keep this distance, such as check-in areas, parking lots, and routes of entry and exit.
- Select seating based on the ability to keep 6 feet of space from people who don’t live in your household.
- Arrive early.
- Consider Avoid using restroom facilities or concession areas at high traffic times, such as intermission, half-time, or immediately at the end of the event.
Wear masks
- Wear a mask when interacting with other people in close proximity to minimize the risk of transmitting the virus.
- Masks are strongly encouraged in settings where individuals might raise their voices, such as shouting, or singing.
Notes: Restroom use is expected prior to service and the restrooms will be cleaned during worship service.
Spaced out seating for attendees who do not live in the same household will be at least six feet apart.
We continue use of a choir or worship team during church as appropriate within our faith tradition. We will limit the number of team members and keep at least six feet between individuals and band members.
The sharing of frequently touched objects, such as worship material, programs, books or other items passed or shared among congregants is suspended and will be viewed only by using electronic means.
The methods used to receive financial contributions, will be:
1. Stationary collection boxes
2. Electronic methods of collecting regular financial contributions
3. No shared collection trays or baskets.
Food offered will be in pre-packaged boxes or bags for each individual
